Meet Stefanie Pickard, MS, CFP®, EA
For the first 14 years of her career, Stefanie worked as the budget manager for Lewis & Clark Law School. During her time at the law school, Stefanie also volunteered as an IRS Volunteer Income Tax Preparer. It was in this volunteer position that Stefanie realized how much she truly enjoyed talking to people about their personal money story. Stefanie then enrolled at Kansas State University and obtained a master's degree in Personal Financial Planning.
At KSU, Stefanie honed her financial planning skills and began to explore the psychological aspects of money, earning a graduate certificate in financial therapy. Stefanie then went on to work as a planner at a Portland area firm before founding Old Growth Financial. Stefanie lives in Portland with her husband Troy, son Charlie, and cat Thunder.
Stefanie grew up in a home under an old growth forest in rural Oregon, where she developed a lifelong love of Oregon's natural beauty.
During her 20's, Stefanie moonlighted for several years as a professional house-sitter and pet-sitter.
Stefanie and her husband have adventured through national parks in five states.
